The rules take about thirty seconds to learn. Shuffle the deck, flip over a face card, and every player races to rebuild that expression with their own cubes. The first to finish shouts done, places their cubes next to the card, and if the match is right they take the round and a new card goes down.

What makes it work is the pressure. You can see the face, you know which cubes you need, and knowing it does not make your hands any faster while someone across the table is closing in on the same expression. Rounds are quick, so a loss stings for about ten seconds before the next card is flipped. It suits siblings and friends who enjoy beating each other at things, and it plays just as well with adults joining in.

Between rounds the cubes come off the leash. Mix and match them however you like and you get faces that were never on any card, some funny, some strange, most of them wrong in an entertaining way. Small parts are involved: keep the cubes and cards away from children under three because of the choking risk, and keep an adult nearby when younger children are playing.
