U-shaped toddler toothbrush in use

The U-shaped head carries soft silicone bristles on both sides at once, so a toddler bites down and the outer and inner surfaces of the top and bottom teeth are brushed together. The curve follows the shape of a small mouth, which keeps the head away from the back of the throat and makes the routine feel less like something being done to them.

The bristles are food-grade soft silicone, gentle on new teeth and tender gums, and the thumb-grip handle is sized for small hands so a child can hold and move it without help. Letting them take the first turn and finishing the job yourself is usually the easiest way to build the habit, and the shape makes it simpler for them to reach the back teeth that normally get missed.

Rinse the brush under warm running water after every use, shake the water out of the channel and stand it upright to dry, then replace it once the bristles lose their shape. Worfa recommends that an adult stays with the child for the whole of brushing and stores the brush out of reach between uses.
